YRC fan sponsors get Moore for their money

2009-10-14

Racing history in the making is what YourRacingCar.com is all about, so how about the fabulous new Ginetta G40? Not able to get away with putting the dinky, highly talented, but 23 year old YRC driver Fulvio Mussi in the Junior driving seat, who else could this team choose?  Well, the YRC crew always listen to their fans and know exactly who they were cheering for in 2009 in the Ginetta Junior Championship with Henderson Insurance.   The news you’ve been waiting for – YRC welcomes the history-writing Yorkshire lass, Sarah Moore to the crew.

Sarah, 15 at the time, took the Ginetta Junior title in the last race of the 2009 season to become the first female championship winner on the British Touring Car series. A close-fought battle right to the end, she had a tight margin of only seven points ahead of her nearest rival as she took to the grid.  YourRacingCar.com continue to buck the trend of recruiting one large corporate sponsor, especially at a time when there are not many to go round. To ensure that the fans get real involvement and are part of a team, the YourRacingCar.com crew is encouraging more fans than ever before to get behind Sarah as she takes on all-comers in the 2010 season to retain her title. Watch out Fulvio, Sarah's got her eye on your G50 seat in 2011!  "Fulvio’s pleased we’ve added another girl to the team. He seems to think it makes for better team dynamics!" said Hannah James, Team Manager. "It’s great to have Sarah on board to take on the G40 challenge for the YRC fan sponsors. There’s no doubt she'll have a tough time in 2010 but I know she’s up to it. There are a lot of young racers out there with something to prove and everyone will be on new wheels. With the YRC fans and the crew backing her all the way, we're looking forward to making some history together."
