A sunny Saturday with the MK Dons

Being a football fan and a motorsport fanatic aren’t hobbies that sit too well together in the first and last parts of the racing season when these activities clash on a weekly basis.

However, this weekend presented a rare chance for our local supporters to come along and say hi at the MooCamp in Milton Keynes, home of the MK Dons.

Having upped sticks and made a controversial move from South London, then asked fans to endure a name change, the MK Dons have had to make strenuous efforts to gain loyal supporters in a town that until recently, cared little for the ‘beautiful game’. Milton Keynes is a thoroughbred motor racing place with many of the worlds biggest and most important engineering outfits calling it home, Red Bull Racing being just one. The other clearly very important crew – YRC! Twice a year, they stage a Family Fun Day designed to attract new fans and give something back to the local community and since its inaugural event in 2009, YRC have been there showing off our motors!
