It’s difficult to stand out from the crowd these days. Everyone’s offering discounts – if you’re like us, you’ll check for voucher codes and special offers on almost everything you buy online and with websites specialising in collating all the discounts available, it’s even harder to be heard!
We’re lucky. We’ve had great feedback from YRCers about the perks we offer and when we started our mission to fan-fund a racing team in 2009, we had no less than 20 perks on offer! Well – you voted with your feet and some just weren’t relevant to you so we whittled away and this year we’ve got offers that mean something to you, the British Touring Car Championship fans.
So far (we’ve got a few in the pipeline), every YRC member gets proper tickets discounts on BTCC entry for Thruxton (Hampshire) and Croft (North Yorkshire). What’s more, not one YRCer will pay for a tea, coffee or hot chocolate trackside in 2012.

YRC 2012 Merchandise Launched
It’s just five weeks to go until the British Touring Car Championship season starts so now’s the time to get kitted out!
Our YRC merchandise is a bit different from the big motor racing teams in that the proceeds really do make a big contribution to our racing budget. That means that every item you buy ends up helping to fund a tyre (approx £2oo each!) a litre of race fuel or a roll of gaffa tape for Max’s car this year (hopefully not too much gaffa tape!).

YRC opens doors at Thruxton
Not everyone ‘gets’ touring cars. Take my aunt for example. She doesn’t even pretend to understand what it is about touring cars that has consumed my work and private life for six years. And I think I know why. She’s never been to see it live.
Watching the British Touring Car Championship on TV is fantastic when you know what you’re watching but motor racing is a soulful sport and I really think you have to hear it, feel it, smell it and see it, for it to get it’s teeth into you. I’ve introduced a lot of people to motor racing in my business and personal life and not once, having spent the day trackside for the first time has someone said, “it’s not really my thing”. (more…)
YRC British Touring Car Championship Ticket Discount

Race day tickets including paddock access are usually priced at £37 but this year’s YourRacingCar.com members get a special discounted price of just £21 per ticket.

From gaining new members and sponsorship, to the increasing costs of well, everything, it’s been tricky but we’ve been incredibly lucky to have the support of some brilliant partners.

YRC Membership launched
Happy New Year!
We’re entering our fourth (yes fourth!) season with YourRacingCar.com and we’re really pleased to be bringing you a new website as well as new YRC membership packs and perks.
We’ve been beavering behind the scenes to bring you the membership you want for 2012 and we’ve been overwhelmed with ideas from our 2011 YRCers, many of which we’ve been able to bring you for the coming season.
What’s new?
The most popular part of membership has been the free tea, coffee and soft drinks trackside (saving members tonnes of cash in 2011), closely followed by the pictures on the roof of the race car and that stays for 2012!
What’s more, we’ve added a few things…
- An individual cooler bag for adult members with our new strap line for the coming season… WARNING, MOTORSPORT CAN BE ADDICTIVE!
- An autograph book for the juniors (now known as YRC Cadets) with a lanyard so they’ll never miss an opportunity to get their favourite drivers signature
- New web features including a members gallery powered by Flickr where you can add all your favourite pictures from the weekend as well as any videos you shoot in our YouTube Channel.
- A variety of new perks from our partners including race ticket discounts
- And… Family membership – it’s been a few years coming but now the whole family can join and benefit from a bigger picture space on the race car!

Well, we can confirm that we’re committed to the British Touring Car Championship package and every member’s picture will be featured on the YRC car for the 2012 season… but this season comes with a twist… the YRC car won’t be announced until the British Touring Car Championship media day!
